Welcome to my website! I'm Diane Hagen, a passionate accountant with a love for numbers and a knack for solving puzzles. My journey in the world of accounting began unexpectedly, but it has led me to a fulfilling and enjoyable career that I am truly proud of.
Early Beginnings and Education
My foray into the world of numbers started when an English teacher assigned me a term paper on the topic of "What you want to be when you grow up?" As a teenager, I was unsure about my future path until I realized that my strongest suit was mathematics. Although I didn't want to pursue a math major or become a teacher, I found myself gravitating towards accounting. That term paper marked the beginning of my journey, as I delved into bookkeeping and business classes during high school. This passion continued to flourish, leading me to major in Accounting in college and ultimately earn a B.S. Degree in Accounting.

To me, accounting is like a puzzle – complex, challenging, and immensely satisfying to piece together. Every aspect of my work revolves around balance and precision. Balancing accounts is a crucial part of what I do, and there's no room for guesswork. The satisfaction that comes from reconciling accounts and ensuring they align perfectly is unparalleled.
Empowering Through Education
Beyond the numbers, my true passion lies in empowering my clients through education. I believe that understanding the fundamentals of accounting is a powerful tool for making informed business decisions. I'm dedicated to teaching my clients how to interpret financial statements and use them as a guide to steer their business towards success. I have more than 20 years of Quickbooks experience, and there are several tricks and tips I set out to make their lives easier.
Beyond the Numbers
When I'm not busy crunching numbers, you can find me indulging in a variety of hobbies. I'm a puzzle enthusiast and enjoy the challenge of solving intricate brainteasers. I also have a soft spot for card and board games – they're a wonderful way to unwind and have fun. As for music, country tunes resonate with me, and I'm known to hit the dance floor for some line dancing. But that's not all – I find joy in tapping my feet and swaying to the rhythm in Zumba classes.
Balancing Life
Staying physically active is important to me. I find solace in activities like walking, swimming, and cycling on a stationary bike. When it's time for a break from the hustle and bustle, I love to explore new destinations through travel. It's my way of recharging and gaining fresh perspectives.
Cherishing Family Time
Amidst all my endeavors, spending time with my family remains my top priority. I cherish moments with my husband, two wonderful kids, and two adorable grandchildren. These connections remind me of the importance of balance – both in numbers and in life.
